Margie Rita Dimas, 93, passed away October 17, 2018 at Harbor Hospice Hospital.

She was born in Creole, LA and lived there all her life until Hurricane Ike. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and she was an organist for the church. She also received the Diocesan Medal of St. Charles. She loved and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She and her family survived Hurricane Audrey by spending it in Sacred Heart Church in Creole.

She is survived by her sons, Jean Dimas (Cathy) of Holmwood; Jerome Dimas (Irma) of Orange, TX; Gary Dimas (Valerie) of Creole; Joey Dimas (Sheila) of Moss Bluff; David Dimas (Carmen) of Grand Lake; daughters, Theresa Townsend of Grand Lake; Christy Fitzhenry (Mark) of Sealy, TX; 33 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Dimas; parents, Abra T-Chon and Christina Vaughan Nunez; brother, Amos Nunez; sister, Velma Nunez; son-in-law, Ken Townsend and grandchild, Mikey Dimas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Creole. Rev. Babasino Fernandes will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, October 19, 2018 from 10:00am until 8:00pm with a rosary at 6:00pm and resume Saturday at 8:00am until time of service. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Dimas Cemetery.
