Margie Strickland Obituary
Susie's family moved to Dallas County in 1924. She worked 39 years for Republic Bank and retired in 1980. She began volunteering at a local hospital in 1981 and continued for almost 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, especially breads, for her family and friends. Counted cross stitching was a favorite hobby of hers, and she had literally hundreds over a period of 28 years. She married Lynn Miller Strickland on August 22, 1944 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary a few months prior to his death.
Mrs. Strickland is preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Strickland.
Mrs. Strickland is survived by her sons: Jay Strickland (Kathy) and Edward Strickland (Penny)
Grandchildren: Todd, Joel, Greg (Shannon), Alana (Kris) Will, Jake.
Great-Grandchildren: Jack, Benjamin, Cole, Kyla
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mrs. Strickland's name to one of the following organizations; First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, Dallas Baptist University or Happy Hill Farms.
