McKECHNIE , Marguerite Louise(nee Harris)
Passed away after a short illness, on Thursday April 11, 2002 at Scarborough Grace Hospital, in her 88th year. Dear wife of Lt. Col. (retired) Neil S. McKechnie. Loving mother of Burton L. Kennedy (and wife Pat), Alison L. Evans (and husband Randall), Rosalie L. Burke (and husband Richard), Grace L. MacMillan (and husband Alex) and Jeffrey S. McKechnie (and wife Trish). She is survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 1 brother. Visitation to be held at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt (East of Kennedy Rd.) on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment Boston Mills Cemetery, Caledon. In lieu of flowers charitable donations to The Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Marguerite was my father´s older sister who was born in Jamaica to Pastor Stanley Harris and his wife Eunice Giles.
It was Marguerite´s second marriage, her first husband tragically killed shortly after the Armistice by a buried bomb triggered by his motorcycle. She later married Lt Col Neil McKechnie and moved to Ottawa, Canada with him and her children.
