Marguerite PONTBRIAND Obituary

Published by Monteal Gazette from Dec. 7 to Dec. 10, 2011.
PONTBRIAND (nee Sauriol) Marguerite
Marguerite Sauriol Pontbriand passed away in Montreal at the age of 94 on November 27, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Henri Pontbriand, opera singer and creator of Val-Pontbriand in Rawdon, Quebec, a land development of which Marguerite was the administrative director.
She leaves behind her children, Chantal (Raymond Gervais), France (Raymond Malo) and Diane; her grandchildren, Vincent Pontbriand (Stephanie De Grandpre), Mathieu Pontbriand (Melanie Vachon), Charles Antoine Gervais, Guillaume Pontbriand-Malo, Laurence Pontbriand-Malo; her great- grandchildren, Lili-Rose, Alice Marguerite and Victor Henri Pontbriand.
We will always remember our mother's radiant smile, her intelligence, energy, generosity and great will to keep Henry's memory alive, as a distinguished tenor and creator of his garden city project in Rawdon; our father, the love of her life.
The family offers its most sincere thanks to the medical and nursing staff of the Institut universitaire de geriatrie de Montreal for the quality of their care and continuous dedication.
The family will receive condolences at the Marie-Reine-du-Monde/St Patrick's Church, 3759 Queen Street, Rawdon, J0K 1S0 on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration will follow at 11:00 a.m.
A donation to the Alzheimer Society of Canada ( www.alzheimer.ca ) or to the Festival de Lanaudiere ( www.lanaudiere.org ) would be appreciated.
