Maria Bustillos Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 28, 2024.
Maria Pabla Bustillos, born on June 29, 1940, in Mexico, entered eternal rest on December 23, 2024, in Midland, Texas. Surrounded by peace and grace, Maria's passing marks the conclusion of a life filled with resilience, faith, and love.

Throughout her 84 years, Maria exemplified strength and dignity. She faced life's challenges with unwavering courage and embraced its blessings with profound gratitude. Her steadfast faith was a guiding light not only for herself but also for those who had the privilege of knowing her. Maria's presence radiated warmth and comfort, offering solace to many during their own trials.

Maria was a very hard working woman, dedicated to her home and family. Her greatest joy was cooking for everyone. She is loved by all who knew her. She was the kind of person that would hand feed you in order to taste her delicious recipes. Her love for cooking was such that once she knew one of her children or grandchildren were visiting her, she would buy all necessary ingredients to prepare their special and favorite dishes. She loved preparing meals for her husband Rafael Sr, and always had his cup of coffee ready for him each morning. She was a very dedicated wife of almost 60 years and a great homemaker. She was one of the best homemakers and very devout. Her faith was at the forefront of her life. She carried her bible everywhere she went sharing the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to anyone who would listen.

Maria's journey through life was a testament to perseverance and devotion. Her memory will remain a source of inspiration for all who were touched by her kindness and grace. As she now rests in the arms of her Creator, may her legacy continue to bring comfort and peace to those she leaves behind.

May Maria Pabla Bustillos find eternal peace in God's embrace. Her memory will forever be cherished by those whose lives she enriched. Maria Pabla was preceded by her husband Rafael Bustillos Sr and is survived by their 11 children- Alba Bustillos, Elva Velasquez (husband Carlos Velasquez), Rafael Bustillos Jr (wife Rosario Bustillos), Olga Bustillos, Elizabeth Muñoz (husband Armando Muñoz), Ruth Gonzales (husband Richard Gonzales), Araceli Steele (husband Al Steele), Omar Bustillos, Hugo Bustillos (wife Amber Davila Bustillos), Alfa Dismukes (husband Nicholas Dismukes), Pablo Bustillos (wife Crystal Bustillos) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. It would take a very long book to describe her, but if she would to be described in a few words, it would be; devout Christian wife, mother, grandmother, friend, chef, and inspiration to all. She will be missed greatly.

My mom taught me about God, the best moral and spiritual values, was tender hearted, loving, and the most sincere person I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I will always love and cherish her memory and carry her in my heart for the rest of my life. It hard to know I will never see her or hear her on earth, but I have the peace of mind that she is in the most beautiful place in company of my father in heaven. ¡La quiero mucho mi querida madre!

She was the best grandma, I was always happy being around her. She welcomed us with hugs, and made the best foods. She would wake us up when we spend the night with her with the scents of wonderful food cooking ! She would have a funny saying "Buenos dias no se ria, Buenos noches no so moche" I love you and miss you abuelita.
