Born 20.3.1918 Vita, Sicily, passed away on Sunday 16.12.2012.
Beloved wife of Giuseppe Gucciardi (dec) and loving mother to Frank, Rosina and Tony. Sister of Salvatore Gassira (dec), Giuseppe Gassira (dec) and Antonio Gassira (dec). Mother in law of Pina, Robert and Lisa. Nonna to 8, Great Nonna of 2. Rest In Peace.
Gucciardi (Maria):
The tears in our eyes we can wipe away, but the ache in our hearts will always stay.
For your sweet and gracious nature, for your understanding way, for the patience and the thoughtfulness you shared from day to day. For all the many helpful things you found time to do for us, Thank you dear Mamma and Nonna.
We will love you always, Frank, Rosina, Tony and all our families.

We sat beside your bedside our hearts were crushed and sore. We did our best to the end, till we could do no more. In tears we watched you sinking and we watched you fade away and though our hearts were breaking we knew you could not stay. You left behind some aching hearts that never forget you mum. No more suffering may you Rest In Peace with dad.
Love always your son Frank and daughter-in-law Pina.

My dearest and beautiful Ma. Sleeping next to your bed you didn't want to leave me without saying goodbye. So you woke me in time to hear you take your last breath. You were more than just a mother to me. Your love, patience, understanding and sense of family will be with me forever. I am so blessed to have had you as my mother. Now at peace to join dad, other family and your brother Giuseppe who always loved and protected you and left 3 days before you so that he could pave the way into Heaven for you. I will never forget you.

Our dearest mother and nonna. You have always been there for all of us and given us unconditional love. It's so difficult to think of life without you being with us anymore. We will all miss you so much especially your baby son Tony (Ninne) who loved you so much and already misses you but we know your now with dad again. We will see you again one day. Love you always, Tony, Lisa, Tennille, Stephanie, Laura and Hennie.

Nonna, the time has come for us to say goodbye. I will always cherish our Saturday morning shopping trips and all the times we spent together. Pick up a bunch of flowers God and give them to my nonna, tell her I miss her dearly and that i'll always lover her.

Treasured memories of my Godmother and Aunty. Zia, we saw you peacefully passing away. Words were not heard but in our hearts we knew that you were saying goodbye.
