AGE: 61 • Perth Amboy
Maria P. Hernandez (nee Batista), 61, of Perth Amboy, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Maria was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic, and came to Perth Amboy in 1976. She was employed by 2nd Home, Perth Amboy as a Nurse's Aide for many years. She was a Communicant and Choir Singer for Our Lady of Fatima RC Church.
She is preceeded in death by her devoted husband Ramon Hernandez who passed away in 2008; her loving father Jorge Diaz. Maria is survived by her beloved daughters Yesenia, Janire and her husband Wilson Tavarez, Yaslyn, Jennifer Hernandez; adored daughter of Maria Antonia (nee Rodriguez) Diaz of Perth Amboy; dear sister of Eunice Frias of Brooklyn, New York, Martina Plasencia of Orlando, Florida, Felix, Casimiro, Eluden, Diomedes and Felipe Diaz of Perth Amboy.
We begin to leave on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 9:15 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral mass at 10:00 am at the Our Lady of Fatima RC Church. Burial will be at Alpine Cemetery. Visiting is on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 2 - 6 pm.

Estimada Familia Hernandez,
Reciban mis mas sinceros pesame en la perdida de su querida Maria. Quisiera enviarles unas palabras de consuelo que comparto con mis amigos cuando ellos pierden a alguien. Son las palabras de el profeta Isaias, en Isaias 25:8 "El {Dios} realmente se tragara la muerte para siempre, y el Senor Soberano Jehova ciertamente limpiara las lagrimas de todo rostro..." Nos consuela saber que Dios esta muy al tanto de nuestro dolor y tiene en mente no solo consolarnos sino traer pronto cambios duraderos mediante su Reino Celestial en manos de su Hijo Jesucristo. Pronto podremos volver a ver a todos nuestros seres queridos que han fallecido. Espero que esta promesa les ayude a aliviar sus corazones.

Our hearts are heavy with grief and sorrow for all of you at this time. Our memories of your mom are sweet ones, her happy smiling face at girls basketball games cheering her daughter and the Lady Panthers. A dear gentle soul who has passed from your lives too quickly. We are praying for all of you.
