Andy,

I assume that Ms. Chaumont-Perez was your mother. If so, I am so sorry to hear of her death. How lucky you were to have her for so long, although I am sure your loss deeply hurts. Again, my deepest sympathy. Sula Baye, UT Law 1975

I didn't know your mother - but her beautiful photograph caught my eye and I read her obituary - It was simple and straightforward - and seeing her made it obvious to me that she represented the very best of Havana from the days when New Orleans and Havana were sister cities and had so much in common - a genteel lady from a society that has vanished - very best to you and your family - her legacy.

Dear mi hermano Armando - Sorry to hear about your Mother (through the Strake website). I never met her, but she must have been a beautiful woman. (95 is a good number, no? Our Dad turns 92 in a week, our Mom turns 92 in July). I have sent word to Miguel and Maureen in El Paso. Vaya Con Dios!

Dear Andres, and Family,

I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Chaumont. It has been probably 45 years ago, but I remember your mother, from our days at Strake Jesuit together. I am certain that she is with Our Lord. May God give you peace knowing that she is by His side. Best Regards, Ken Valka
