Maria Yvonne Robinson was born on July 25, 1969 in Chicago, IL to Adeal Robinson and Roosevelt Robinson. She was the youngest of three children.
Maria was edcuated at Fuller Elementary and Dunbar Vocational High School in Chicago, IL.
She accepted The Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior, being baptized at Good Hope M.B. Church in Flora, MS by the late Pastor Shirley Hopkins in 1990.
She studies music and was a dedicated member of the Marching Band. She played a host of woodwind instruments including the NLH clarinet and her beloved saxophone.
Throughout her life, Maria worked many jobs to provide for her children and grandchildren. Her most cherished job outside of motherhood was being a Direct Care Worker at Hudspeth Regional Center. She worked tirelessly by to provided quality care for the residents she served.
Maria's love for movies and music was unmatched. She always kept a song in her heart, even if it meant making one up. She also had a love for writing. She held a collection of notebooks with letters to God, poetry, etc. These characteristics, among many others, continue to live on through her children and grandchildren today.
She was preceded in death by Roosevelt Robinson (Father), Hattie Mae Flowers (aunt), Henrycene Drone (aunt), Elnora and George Nichols (grandparents), and a host of aunts and uncle.
Maria leaves behind to cherish her loving memories her children: Nakita, Darius, Kristen, Lexus, Jhania, and Ananda. (9) grandchildren, Adeal Robinson, (mother), James Nichols, Sr. and Darrell Robinson (brothers), Henrietta Nichols (aunt), two sisters-in-law. A host of relatives and friends.
