Marian White

Marian Kay White, age 60, of Forestdale, AL passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 2, 2018 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Kay was born in Birmingham in 1957 but lived all over the country throughout her life. She loved people and never met a stranger. Kay worked most of her life in the interior design business and was a talented seamstress. Some of her work was even featured in national interior design publications. Kay was a deeply spiritual individual joining the Catholic church later in life and was a devoted Christian until the end. She is preceeded in death by her mother, Betty Gates, and her father, Arm Blevins, Jr. She is survived by her son Oliver Pierson and daugther-in-law Robin of Atlanta, GA, her brothers Ronnie Blevins of Pensacola, FL and Roger Blevins of Demopolis, AL, her sister Cindy Gates of Loveland, CO, and her aunt Melba Bassett of Corner, AL. She was expecting her first grandchild, a girl, in January 2019. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Birmingham with visitation at 10am and mass to follow at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in her honor to St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 7921 1st Ave N., Birmingham, AL 35206.
