Marianne Marks, 91, died on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Marianne was a native of Houma, LA, and resided in Chalmette for 56 years. After Hurricane Katrina she moved to Metairie with her family for her final 12 years. She was originally a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Parish in Chalmette for many years, later moved to St. Louise de Marillac Parish in Arabi, and finally attended St. Philip Neri Parish in Metairie. She was preceded in death by her husband Oswald A. Marks. She is survived by her 4 children, Cynthia Marks, Chris Marks (Mary), Cheryl Ward (Donald), and Carl Marks (Rachel); 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will gather on Friday, March 3, 2017 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church at 6500 Kawanee Avenue in Metairie. A rosary service will be held at 10:30 A.M., followed by a visitation from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 P.M. Then, a Catholic burial for Marianne will take place at St. Roch Cemetery #2. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements by JACOB SCHOEN& SON FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be left at www.schoenfh.com.

Dear Cindy, Chris, Cheryl, Carl and Family,
