Marianne Marley, 56, of Concord, NH died August 20, 2010 at her residence after a sudden illness.

She was born in Waltham, MA on March 30, 1954, the daughter of William and Anna Mary (Logsden) Judkins. She graduated from Lexington, MA High School and received her nursing degree from the Somerville School of Nursing.

Most recently, she had been employed by Aetna of Indiana. Previously, she had worked for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Holy Family Hospital and the North East Rehabilitation Center. As a professional nurse, Marianne exemplified all the characteristics of purity, sweetness, empathy and encouragement. A woman of strong religious conviction, she was truly chosen by God to do his work on this earth and will become the brightest star in the sky.

She enjoyed swimming, walking, and photography but above all else, loved spending time with her family.

Family members include her husband of 33 years, Robert E. Marley of Concord; one daughter, Shannon M. Tomacchio and her husband Jim of Hillsborough; two sons, Robert E. Marley Jr. and his wife Meghin of Hampstead, Christopher R. Marley of Concord; two grandchildren, Fiona S. Marley and Robert G. Marley; her siblings, Judy Judkins of California, Bill Judkins of Virginia, Nancy Dyer of Clinton, MA Linda Judkins of Clinton, MA, and Ronald Judkins of Wilmington, MA; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

The Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, August 27, 2010 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Loudon Road, Concord. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall St, Manchester, NH 03101 or to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, Bedford, NH 03110.

I was so sad to hear about Marianne. It's one of those announcements that you think you must have misunderstood. I had the pleasure of working w/ Marianne @ Anthem. I learned so much from her.
