Marianne Molnar Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 25, 2010.
MOLNAR, Marianne (nee Maurer) - Passed away at Sunnybrook Hospital on September 22, 2010. Marianne was born in Salzburg, Austria in 1922. She immigrated to Canada in 1950 with her husband, the late Joseph Molnar, and their daughter Evelyne. After living in Montreal for several years, the family moved to Toronto where Marianne worked at Connaught Laboratories for over 30 years. Marianne will be missed by her son-in-law John Crozier and her sister-in-law Margit Szabo. Visitation will take place at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home (located at 159 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto), from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, September 26th and Monday, September 27th. Committal and interment will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date with family present. Marianne will be remembered as a loving 'Mutti' and homemaker, who contributed to the community through a lifetime of hard work and whose devotion to her family will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, gifts to the West Park Healthcare Centre Foundation would be appreciated, in recognition of the excellent care Marianne received from their amputee rehabilitation service.

Dear Evelyne and John,
I wish we were able to help your Mom get stronger and walk again but sadly, this was not meant to be. I hope she did not suffer in the end. Please take care of yourself, Evelyne. Jane
