Maribeth Vadas Zappia, 62, died on Friday, May 25, 2012 at her home in Canal Winchester, OH, following a lengthy illness. She was born on June 25, 1949, to the late Andrew and Julia Vadas of Cleveland Heights, OH. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Carmelo Zappia. She is also survived by her sisters, Judith Paquelet (Charles) of Massillon, OH, Andrea Ashburn of Asheboro, NC, Jane Flitner (Arthur) of West Chester, PA, and by her brothers Todd Vadas (Willa) of Denver, CO, Robert Vadas (Hahn) of Potsdam, NY, and Martin Vadas (Carrie) of Denver, CO, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Maribeth graduated from Beaumont School, Cleveland Heights, OH, attended the University of Akron, Akron, OH, and graduated from Akron City Hospital of Nursing, Akron, OH. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Pope John XXIII Catholic Church, 5170 Winchester Southern Road, Canal Winchester at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Massillon, OH.
