Marie R. Charniak,92, De Pere formerly of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2011. Marie was born on May 1, 1919, in Pulaski, daughter of the late William and Marie (Rose) DeKeyser. On Oct. 27, 1938, she was united in marriage to Henry J. Charniak. Marie was a resident of Green Bay most of her life and for the past several years a resident of Nicolet Highlands in De Pere. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, crafts, bingo, playing cards, fishing, camping and gardening. She was formerly a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Green Bay.

Marie is survived by two daughters, Eileen (Gary) Schenian, Green Bay; Linda Charniak, Green Bay; two sons, Jerald (Betty) Charniak, Johnson City, Texas; Dennis (Lynn) Charniak, Dallas Texas; 11 grandchildren, Kyle (Jenny) Wogsland, Nathan (Jessie) Wogsland, Libby (Patrick) Wetzel, Mike (Tera) Schenian, David (Jamie) Schenian, Nicole Charniak, Amanda Charniak, Brandon Charniak, Michael Charniak, Patrick Charniak and Jeff Charniak; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; sisters, Isabelle (Harold) Lannaye, Mildred (Joseph) Kulhanek; and a brother, Rudy (Irene) DeKeyser.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Nicolet Memorial Gardens, Green Bay, with Fr. Norm Krutzik officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
