Colyer, Marie Fran ces (nee Lukefahr), Our Sweet Marie, March 6, 1928 -March 28, 2009. Dearest Mother of her eight sons; Eddie, Tommy, Stevie, Joey, Henry, Jimmy, Bobby and Jackie. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward A. Colyer, in 1979. Marie will always be be Grandma to seventeen loving grandchildren and Great Maw-Maw to six wonderful great-grandchildren and counting. She is the only sister to Mildred Williams of Houston, Texas, and sister-in-law of Irma Colyer of Monterrey Mexico. A very special aunt, cousin, and friend to everyone she ever met. With her love of animals, especially dogs, she founded the Love-n-Care Pet Farm in St. Peters, MO. Marie was well known and loved in the community and would never let an animal or fellow man go hungry or in need. Bobby and Family. We are sorry for your loss. Marie was right there with us when we got our first Golden in November,1992 and because of her love and dedication, we have another Golden. She surely was a special lady.

I met Grandma Colyer only once but knew her through the stories of her adoring granddaughter, Jacqui. I will miss those. We are praying for you all.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. My Mother, Opal Ridings is a long time friend of Marie's that goes back to their being neighbors in Ferguson, MO. Even though Mother now has dementia she still remembers and speaks with great pleasure of the times she and Marie shared on the river and their trips to Mexico to visit Irma. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. May the wonderful memories bring you comfort in your time of grief. God bless.
