Marie Caroline Tingey Eilander FARR WEST - Marie Eilander, 74, passed from the arms of her loving and devoted husband into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 10, 2005 after an extended illness. Marie was born June 26th, 1930 in Brigham City, the daughter of George Henry Tingey and Caroline Lydia Roche. She grew up and was educated in Clearfield, Utah. She married John Eilander on April 1, 1966. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden Temple Sept. 24, 1999. They recently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary. She was employed in the bakery at WSC for several years, and later worked as a custodian at WSU, retiring after 15 years of service. Marie and John combined their families consisting of 11 children, five sons and six daughters: Jerry Ray Wright (deceased); Robert Wright, Roseburg, OR; JoAnn (Chris) Carter, South Weber; Diane (Scott) Jacobson, Layton; Steve (Debbie) Wright, Pleasant View; Cathy (Darrell) Dickinson, Clinton; Christine (Gary) Weicks, West Haven; J ohnene (Arthur) Nehls, Roy; Rick (Penny) Eilander, Brigham City; Sandy (Todd) Cook, Roy and Steven (Michelle) Eilander, Roy. They have 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are four sisters, Elanore (Bill) Boyd, Roy; Kathy (Maurice) Claytor, Wylie, TX; Sherilyn (Dennis) DeDecker, Kaysville; Elaine Tingey, Ogden; two brothers, Ronald (Carolyn) Tingey, Ogden; Randy (Robin) Tingey, Roy. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Carol and Georgia; one son and one grandson, Adam. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City. Family and friends may call on Wednesday at Myers Mortuary in Brigham City from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Brigham City Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Jodi Garside, Marie's hairdresser and close friend for many years, IHC Home Health Care, Dr. Frank Tilaro, Dr. Mattsson, the nursing staff at Ogden Regional, Sister Stephanie Mong eon of Ogden Regional and the Relief Society from Westwood Village Ward. Marie's children, grandchildren, sisters and brothers can't thank enough her devoted husband for his 24 hour caregiving for the past 13 years. He has been her rock and the cornerstone of our family.
