Marie Hubbard LEBANON, Va. Mrs. Marie Hubbard, age 82, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, in a Lebanon, Virginia hospital. Born Feb. 4, 1928, in Russell County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Ruth Elizabeth Owens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hubbard; two sons, Carl Allen "Rex" Hubbard and Charlie Lee Hubbard; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, Ralph Hubbard Jr. and wife, Betty of Danese, W.Va., and Gene Hubbard and wife, Martha of Lebanon; one brother, Charlie Owens and wife, Mary of Gate City; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive; and a special friend, Johnny Couch. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hummingbird Retirement Villas and the 4th floor staff of Russell County Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, with Rev. Jeff Ball officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Ketron Memor ial Gardens at Lebanon. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
