Marie Phaneuf

ROUSES POINT-Marie M. Phaneuf, 77, of Rouses Point passed away peacefully January 1, 2012 at the CVPH Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born January 24, 1934 in Rouses Point, the daughter of Triffley and Virginia (Huggins) St. Andrew. Marie enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, as well as going to bingo. She was predeceased by her parents, Triffley and Virginia (Huggins) St. Andrew; her husband, Leo Francis Phaneuf Sr.; two sons, Leo Francis Jr. and Edward Phaneuf; a sister, Lillian Baker and one brother, Ernest St. Andrew. Survivors include two children, Linda M. Phaneuf of Champlain, Kenneth R. Phaneuf and his companion Cheryl Maneeley of West Chazy; six grandchildren, Virginia LeClair and her companion, Chad Billings, Christopher and Amy Willette, Jauna and Eric Phaneuf, Jordan and Jennifer Phaneuf; five great grandchildren, Sierra and Dakota LeClair, Tara Phaneuf, June and Grayson Willette. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 4, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 at the Ross Funeral Home in Mooers. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 5 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Champlain. A gathering of fellowship will follow the service at the American Legion in Champlain. Interment will be in St. Anne's Cemetery in Mooers Forks later in the year.
