Marie Angela Rovero

Marie Angela Rovero, 64, of Hartford, CT passed away suddenly at home on Monday, September 8th after a short illness. She was a beloved sister, aunt, great aunt and friend.

Marie was born on April 13,1961 and grew up in East Hartford, CT where she attended and graduated from local schools.

Marie recently celebrated her 40th anniversary at the Hartford International University for Religion and Peace (HIU) where she was respected and beloved by students and staff. She was a dedicated library assistant managing acquisitions and inter library loans. She had deep expertise of the library archives and collections.

Marie was an avid and skilled genealogical researcher who devoted much of her time to the delight of family, friends and colleagues in providing interesting and detailed family histories to connect them to their ancestors. She had a kind and generous nature.

She was a talented craft person and enjoyed sewing clothes, making jewelry and pottery. She treasured large family gatherings for the holidays, family vacations to the shore and mountains and special sister/niece lunches.

Marie leaves behind to mourn her life taken far too soon her siblings Peter Rovero (Patricia) of Niantic, CT; Andrew Rovero of Glastonbury, CT; Thomas Rovero (Rosanna) of Hingham, MA; Christopher Rovero of Fairfax, VA; Jane Rovero Boston (David) of Marlborough, CT; Donald Rovero (Teresa) of South Hadley, MA; and Carol Rovero Martinchek (Todd) of Canton, CT.

She also leaves her adored nieces and nephews Tara, Laura, Paul, Matthew (Maite), Kassandra, Audrey, Leonardo and her treasured great niece, Bailey.

Her Mom and Dad, Aldo J. Rovero and Margaret T. Rovero, predeceased her and we take comfort that they were there to greet her when she arrived. She will forever be in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at the Carmon Funeral Home at 807 Bloomfield Avenue in Windsor, CT on Friday October 3rd. Family will receive visitors from 10:30 am - 11:30 am followed by a short service to celebrate her life.
