MARILYN ASHKIN (Jarvis)
MARILYN ASHKIN (Jarvis) August 5, 1951 - November 7, 2008 Died peacefully in California following a short battle with cancer. Marilyn was the beloved wife of Peter Ashkin of Paso Robles, California and dear mother of Michael, Alexis (Aaron) and Heather (fiancee Jim). She is survived by her loving mother June Jarvis of Toronto, her nephews Jamie, Brent and Stephen Sharpless and their father David. Marilyn was predeceased by her beloved father and sister, John Jarvis and Barbara Sharpless. Most of Marilyn's adult life was spent in California. Marilyn obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She then attended Hastings Law School at the University of California, San Francisco. Marilyn practiced Intellectual Property law at Bechtel Corporation and later at Apple Computer where she met Peter. More recently Marilyn developed a passion for wine making and with Peter created the award winning winery Red Head Ranch named for her fiery red hair. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
