Heart felt condolesences to the family. So many of us can attribute some portion of our education or careers to Mrs. Cogdell. She insisted that there were no barriers to education, only excuses. Because of her, I was introduced to Mrs. Sessoms and so many opportunities as a young high school graduate. To her family, thank you for sharing your treasure.

I am a thousands that blow. I am the diamond glint on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened rain grain. I am the gentle Autumn rain. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there. I do not sleep. Do not stand and cry.... I am not there. I, did not die.

I did not know her personally, but I heard great stories about her. In 1969, I became a social worker in Lenoir county and supervised the foster care and adoptions programs. Her clients loved her. Condolences to the family..
