My parents moved to East Lansing in 1976 so my father could take a new job. Neither of them had family or friends in the area. Marilyn and Gene were lifelong residents and certainly didn't need new friends, but still, they reached out to my Mom ann Dad, Gene and my Dad became good golfing buddies, and Marilyn soon became one of my Mom's closest friends. MY family will never forget how Marilyn welcomed them and shared her love and infectious spirit with us for so many years. We shall all miss her, and we send our sincere condolences to Gene and the rest of her family. Janet Reed

In planning my daughter's upcoming wedding, specifically a shower 2 dear friends are hosting, I reflected back many years to a time when Marilyn hosted a shower for me. I remember thinking what a special friendship our mothers must have had for her to do that for me. Knowing it's part of the life cycle and God's plan does not spare us from sadness when we lose that person we love. So we thank the Lord for the time He gave us with that loved one knowing that now He walks beside them until we meet again.

The loss of a parent is the hardest thing to experience. I know being a friend of the Schrock family I marvel at the way your families all pulled together for what was best for "Mom". What each and every one of you did to make her placement in the skilled facility and try and comfort your dad thru all this was so amazing to watch from the outside. I think you all know god had a plan, trust in your memories and more then every rely on each other. Knowing the foundation built in your parents home, when each of you were born the house will still stay strong with this loss. God bless you all. What a WONDERFUL example of faith, family, fellowship and fun.

Our deepest Condolences to all the family of Marilyn Cornelius. She is one of the most beautiful, sophisticated, and kind lady i have ever met.
Her hair reminds me of classic beauty star and that each time i reminded her, she always giggles. " She laughs each time i tell her that i needed to maintain her looks esp. when i used the word " SASSY".
I am thankful that i was given a chance to take care of you.
I miss you.
