Marilyn Dallman- 95 years old of Albany Oregon, passed away Wednesday September 3, 2014 from complications of a fall. She was born in Berne, Minnesota on January 19, 1919 to John & Julia (Miller) Wees along with a twin brother Maynard, on their farm. The family moved to Rochester, Minnesota in 1930 and Marilyn graduated from Rochester High School in 1936. After graduation she worked at the Zumbro Cafeteria which catered to the Mayo Clinic patients. There Marilyn met and married Stanley Dallman on April 19, 1941 at the First Evangelical United Brethren Church in Rochester. Marilyn later worked at a candy store and as a secretary to a county probation officer in Rochester and as a sales person in a Dayton department store. The family moved to Milwaukie, Oregon in 1955 where she worked for the next 26 years at United Grocers. She attended Wichita Evangelical Church & Linwood Missionary Alliance Church. She retired in 1981 and moved to Albany, Oregon in 1986 to be near her daughter and family. Marilyn belonged to "The Willing Workers Club" where she enjoyed helping make special quilts with the group. Marilyn has made many beautiful quilts over the years. She also enjoyed working in her yard growing flowers and keeping things trimmed up. She attended First Assembly of God church in Albany until 2007. For the last 7 years, she attended Prince of Peace Community Church where her son in-law is the pastor. She is survived by her son, Bob Dallman (& Rosalee) of Olathe, Kansas; daughter Barbara Dyer (& Scott) of Albany, Oregon; four grandchildren Nicole Houston, Arlington, TX; Melinda Johnson, Albany, OR; Rob Dallman, Cologne, MN; and Rauna Willmore, Irving, TX; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Joanne McClure of Draper, Utah and brother John Wees (& Donna) of Rochester, MN. She was preceded in death by her twin brother Maynard (1924), parents John Sr (1960) & Julia Wees (1966), brother in-law James McClure (1972), sister Leone Holmes (1982), sister Marceline Preuss (2005), husband of 66 years Stanley Dallman (2007), brother in-law Donald Preuss (2008) and brother in-law Merrill Holmes (2011). There will be a graveside service at 2 pm, Tuesday, September 9 at Palestine Cemetery. Following this, a memorial service will be held at Prince of Peace Community Church - 3 pm in Adair Village, OR. Donations in her name can be made to Prince of Peace Community Church in care of Fisher Funeral Home, 306 Washington St. SW, Albany, OR 97321.
