Marilyn U. Massarelli, age 91, of Shaler Twp. passed away on Wednesday March 29, 2023 at UPMC Passavant Hospital. Marilyn was the daughter of the late Harry N. and Garnetta (Morrow) Umpleby; She was preceded in death by her first husband of 37 years, Donald W. Maxwell and her second husband of 23 years, Victor H. Massarelli; She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Amy Maxwell (Paul A.) Nevin of York PA, granddaughters Emily R. Nevin of Santa Fe NM and Erin E.L. Nevin of Buffalo NY, step-daughter Elaine Schuch and step-granddaughter Leslie Schuch both of West View, sister Carol Dillon and beloved niece Lydia Freed both of Akron OH; Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother Harry “Bill” M. Umpleby. She was a lifelong member of the Order of Eastern Star, Falls Chapter #245. A brief service will be held at the Bock Funeral Home, Ltd. 1500 Mount Royal Blvd. Glenshaw on Monday April 10, 2023 at 11:30 PM. She will be interred at Acacia Masonic Memorial Park, Cleveland, OH. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Women for Women International or to Mercyships.org.
