Marilyn (Lynn) Webber Rand, 85, of Lyonbrook in New London, NH, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

Lynn was born in Worcester, MA to Dana O. Webber and Mary Hawes Webber on April 28, 1937. Lynn grew up in western Massachusetts and graduated from Colby College in Waterville, ME in the class of '58. After college she taught high school english until she married Kenneth Rand of Marshfield, MA in 1961. She resided in Marshfield for the next thirty years where she raised their three children. Once the children were grown she moved to Kingston, MA for the next twenty years where she restarted her teaching career at Huntington Learning Center. For the past 10 years, she resided in New London, which was also her weekend destination, for many decades prior, for challenging the hills of NH as both a nordic and alpine skier.

Lynn was a passionate world traveler who visited five continents and more than 30 countries. She always loved new adventures, meeting new people, and discovering new cultures. She was a voracious reader and art lover who also loved to entertain and cook for family and her many cherished friends. She also enjoyed many decades playing tennis and golf with friends.

Lynn is survived by her daughter, Diana (Dee) Doheny and her husband Michael of New London, her son David and his wife DeAnne of Anchorage, AK, her son Kyle and his wife Carissa of Marshfield, MA, her sister Sylvia Bellair of Grand Blanc, MI, her sister-in-law Elizabeth Webber of Greenfield, MA, many cool cousins, and her wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren including: Margaret, Catherine, Nolan, Evan, Jonathan, Molly, Will and Marciana.

A memorial service will be held later this summer in Marshfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lake Sunapee Regional Visiting Nurse Association, P.O. Box 2209, New London, NH 03257.
