Mario Creo
Mario Creo, age 72, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Antonia Paniccia Creo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Born on September 2, 1950 in Minturno, Latina, Italy, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Pasqualina DeNitto Creo. Mario was a member of the of the Laborers Local 665 and was employed by many area construction companies. He was a member of the Circolo Sportivo Italian American Club and enjoyed spending time there with his friend's watching soccer and playing cards. But above all Mario was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved his time spent with his family creating memories to last a lifetime. The unconditional love he gave and the values he taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. In addition to his beloved wife of 45 years, Antoinette, survivors include loving children, his son Pasquale Creo (Ann) of Stratford and a daughter Melissa Creo of Bridgeport, his cherished and adored granddaughter, Sophia Creo, a brother, Ralph Creo (Faustina), his father and mother-in-law, Giovanni and Domenica Paniccia, as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved cats. He was predeceased by a brother, Filippo Creo and three sisters, Francesca Ciarnella, Rosa DiCocco and Immacolata (Mary) Reppas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
