DICK, (Edith) Marion
In hospital following a short illness, on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the age of 92. She was predeceased in 1994 by Jim, her husband of 42 years. A loving and devoted mother, Marion is survived by her daughters, Margaret Foster (Douglas - deceased) and Heather Dick (Robert Timberg). She was immensely proud of all her grandchildren, William (Sonya Swinamer) and Katherine Foster; Evert, Morgan and Laina Timberg; and her great-grandson, Rowan Foster. Beloved sister of Isabel Bader (Alfred) and Clifford Overton (Francoise Gravel). Marion loved to play the violin and for more than 40 years was a member of Ottawa's Parkdale Orchestra. After joining the congregation of St. Mark's Anglican Church in the 1950's, she briefly taught Sunday school and then became an active member of the Ladies' Guild for many, many years. Always interested in helping others, she will be deeply missed by nieces, nephews and her extended family, as well as by many friends both in Fisher Heights and Park Place Retirement community. We would like to thank Karen and the staff and volunteers at Park Place for helping her to live a full and interesting life to the very end. Please join the family in celebrating her life at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 1606 Fisher Ave., on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the church hall.
