Marjorie Anne Davis (n?e McCallion)

Born February 1, 1956, fifth child of Thomas John McCallion and Helen Weinmann McCallion. Loving mother to her children Andrew, Elaine, and Audrey Davis. Devoted friend to Callie, her golden retriever.

Marjorie grew up just outside Ambler, PA. She attended St. Stanislaus and St. Alphonsus elementary schools and Bishop McDevitt High School. She received her B.S. from Rosemont College and M. Sci. from Temple University. Marjorie was a voracious learner throughout her life and never stopped pursuing new knowledge and experiences throughout her life.

Marjorie taught Biology and Human Anatomy/Physiology for many years at Mount St. Joseph Academy in Chestnut Hill. She inspired countless students with her warm nature and her extensive knowledge of the sciences. She also worked for several years at the Rorer Group and Drug Information Association (DIA).

An enthusiastic traveler- Marjorie traveled to Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Ireland (twice), the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and throughout the United States (including Hawaii twice). She was always interested in other cultures and traditions. In addition, Marjorie loved reading books, listening to music, cooking with her daughters and with friends, cycling, and walking her dog, Callie. One of her favorite hobbies was taking pilot lessons at Wings Field in Blue Bell and volunteering for the non-profit Angel Flight East. Marjorie was deeply kind, warm, and funny. She made long-lasting friends everywhere she went.

Marjorie fought cancer courageously and without complaint for ten years. She will be loved and missed forever.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marjorie's name to Unite for Her at https://uniteforher.org.

Ms Davis was my biology teacher at the Mount and she wrote my letter of recommendation and encouraged me all the way to medical school, where I am now two years away from my MD. I will always remember her and all that she did for me in my life and career.

I am so sorry to hear of Margie“s passing. I was her manager during her time at Rorer Group and she taught my children when they attended the Mount. There was not a more genuine, kind, and well liked person at Rorer. Her love of life and of others was apparent for all. My deepest sympathies for your family. Chuck Pendley.

Mrs. Davis was my biology teacher at the Mount. She was so dedicated to her students. So kind and smart. She was such a huge asset to the Mount community. She will be greatly missed.

Her smile would light up a room. As Biology colleagues, she was a delight to be with - intelligent, helpful, and fun.
