Marjorie FABER Obituary
February 23, 1925 ~ January 27, 2014
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom "Marj". Mom passed away peacefully on January 27, 2014 at the age of 88 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jack; her son Rodger; her parents; four brothers; a sister, and brother Bernie who passed away on February 1, 2014. She leaves to mourn her son Len (Brenda) Faber; daughters Dawn (Vic) McDougall, Midge (Ken) Kurtz, Cheryle Harris, and Laurel Ann (Terry) Hall; her beautiful grandchildren Leasa (Dana), Cory (April) Faber, Jackie (Evan), Chana, Chase, Nicki and Kacey; great granddaughters Hannah and Jessica and brother George (Pat) Orton. Mom was her mom's little girl, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, Santa Clause for 30 plus years, a foster mom for 42 babies, caregiver, volunteer, Rider fan for 50 years, a cook, baker, great donut maker, gardener and a wonderful friend! You taught us the true meaning of "Paying it Forward". Never turning anyone away that needed food or shelter. All without expecting anything in return. We will miss you so very much. Flowers gratefully declined, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jim Balfour officiating. Your mom was a second mom to me growing up she always greeted everyone with a wonderful smile. She cherished all her children and loved each and every one of you she will be missed and the beauty of it is she is in every one of you! Very special lady

Your mother was a wonderful lady. So would always pop in to the salon at the manor and give me candy and say hello. She always had a smile... her and my grandmother eleanor must be enjoying a cup of coffee up there.

I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. In the last few year's, I was able to talk to your mom at Pioneer Village. She was very pleasant to talk to, and she never forgot our faces.

I knew Marj for years through Rosemont United and then at Regina Village as our band, Crossover, often play there. One of her favourite songs we did for her was Long Black Train by Josh Turner. She was the ultimate Rider fan too and I loved her green hair and Rider garb on game days. We had many conversations about the team and their prospects. I will mostly miss her smile and warmth as she made all of us feel great by just being in her presence. My condolences to all of her family and friends. She will be truly missed.

I am truly sorry to hear of Aunty Marj's passing, she was an awesome Lady,and the best big sister my Mom could of asked for. I am sure they are both looking down at us while enjoying a visit and a cup of coffee. Please accept our condolences.
