Marjorie Farlinger Obituary
June 12, 1915 - June 9, 2014
Marjorie Jean Farlinger, devoted wife, mother, and great grandmother, passed away quietly at the age of 98 on June 9, 2014 in Sarasota, Florida.
Born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, Marge was a performer who entertained Royal Canadian Air Force troops during WWII when she met and married Sydney Farlinger (deceased). They later relocated to Siesta Key, Florida in 1957. She was a member of the Pine Shores Presbyterian Church, sang in its choir and played hand bells as part of the church's music ensemble. Marge was an artist, an organ musician; she loved animals, walking on the beach, and was devoted to her family. Always very pleasant and keenly interested in everyone's wellbeing - she will be missed.
She is survived by children James Ellis Farlinger, Sarasota and Laurel Grace Patterson, Tampa; grandchildren, Matthew Patterson, Tampa and Amy Pardue of Colorado and four great- grandchildren. Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the outstanding facility "The Pines of Sarasota."

Laura, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom but now she can entertain others in heaven like she did with the troops. She seemed to be a lively loving person who was a free spirit. Way ahead of her time.
