Marjorie Rose "Marge" Nelson 85, of Kewadin died on Monday December 6, 2010 at Munson Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 17, 1925 in Roscommon the daughter of George and Nellie (Easley) Thompson. Marge married Ralph Nelson on November 8, 1947 in Elk Rapids, he preceded her in death. Marge was a member of the Eastern Star in Cassapolis, MI, a life member of AMVETS auxiliary, and Business professional women. She was a beautician and also helped her husband Ralph in the family business, Chippewa Oil Co. Marge enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. Marge is survived by three daughters; Sandra Singleton, Suzanne (Bill) Hutchcraft, and Sally Nelson all of Kewadin. She is also survived by (7) grandchildren; Traci (Aaron), Jodi (Ray), Chari, Tony, Glori, Gayle (Chris), Brandi and numerous great-grandchildren. Marge was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ralph Nelson. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010 from 5-7PM at Covell Funeral Home, 312 Pine St, Elk Rapids. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 1pm from the Funeral Home, the Rev. Kenneth Lein will officiate. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be given in Marge's name to the Antrim County Commission on Aging. Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home, Elk Rapids.
