Marjorie Phillips Obituary

Marjorie C. (Glass) Phillips, 95 years of age died Monday February 27, 2017 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany. She was born April 16, 1921 in Birmingham, Alabama and was a retired Civil Service employee at Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Marjorie was the widow of Harold Edward Phillips who died in 1972. She was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and also loved playing the piano and singing. Marjorie will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three siblings; Bertha, Dean and Annie Lou.

Survivors include her children, Walter "Larry" Phillips (Pat), Connie Weissman; grandson, Harold E. "Eddie" Phillips II (Katie); greatgrandson, Charles Phillips, and great granddaughters, Carolyn Phillips and Ashley Kukuselis.

A Memorial Reception will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel.

Marjorie was special in so many ways...she will be missed by many. She is in a better place now.
