Mark Gerald Aamot, 53, passed away October 15, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born to the late Jerry and Jean [Stulen] Aamot, March 1, 1964 in Hector, Minnesota. Mark loved music and was an accomplished musician who could play any instrument, including, drums, keyboard and guitar. He was also an avid hiker and enjoyed exploring the many mountain trails of Arizona. He worked for many years as a case manager and volunteer coordinator for the East Valley Adult Resource Center in Mesa. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Bridget Sanders-Aamot; daughters, Katrina Evans and Charde Evans; son, Devon Tillman; his sister, Kristen Martin; grandchildren, Najae, DJ, Navie and Trevonne his cat he loved, Fiona as well as a host of relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed. A celebration of his life will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Rd in Mesa. I met Mark at Augsburg College. He was so loving and talented and fun. I remember being with him when he played keyboards for the band Mango Jam. I still have an autographed CD of their original CD.

Time passed and we moved on our own ways and lost touch. I am surprised and sad to see that he has passed.

Mark was great to work with at the East Valley Adult Resources Mobile pantry. EVAR and United Food Bank held a distribution one time a month. I remember Mark always being happy and conversing with the people who attended this distribution. He will be missed dearly.
