Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 16, 2014.
MARK WAYNE ARCHAMBAULT - JERICHO, Vt./VENICE, Fla. - Mark Wayne Archambault, of Jericho, Vt., and Venice, Fla., passed away on Nov. 13, 2014, in Venice, Fla., surrounded by his wife, Lois, and their children. Mark was born on Oct. 12, 1943, in Burlington, the son of Irene and Dr. Mark Archambault. He is survived by his wife, Lois, of 49 years; daughter, Amy Lambiase and husband, Mark, of Ladera Ranch, Calif.; son, Mark Archambault and wife, Beth, of Mansfield, Mass.; son, Robert and wife, Bridget, of St. Albans; grandchildren, Zoe, Ben and Josh Lambiase, Emily, Caitlyn, Aidan and Kaelyn Archambault; sister, Patricia Gulick of Ludlow; sister, Mary Zeno of Burlington; and many loved nieces and nephews. Mark was a graduate of Rice Memorial High School and attended Johnson State College. He was a kitchen designer and builder. Mark spent many a season hunting with his son, Robert, and their friends at their camp in Bakersfield. He loved all kinds of sports and was at one time a track and field coach at Mount Mansfield High School. He was a member of the St. Thomas Parish Knights of Columbus. When his sons were younger he took great joy in being a den dad and Boy Scout leader. Before retirement, he was also a member of the Bakersfield Fire Dept. As illness entered his life, his friends were always amazed at his good spirits, joke here and there, and never a complaint was to be heard. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice, Fla. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Vermont in the Spring. Anyone wishing to contribute in his memory may do so to: Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675; or Habitat for Humanity, 121 Habitat St., Americus, GA 31709.

Dear Lois and family: Please accept my most sincere condolences on the passing of Mark. I remember him as a wonderful and very giving person. I contracted with Mark to design and build oak bookcases for our school's library. The results were outstanding and will stand as a testament to his expertise as a superb craftsman. May he rest in peace.
