Mark Berry Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 31, 2019.
Mark Howard Berry, age 62, passed away peacefully during the night at home in Polk City, FL on Tuesday March 26, 2019.

He was born September 5th, 1956 in Clinton, IN to Max Howard Berry and Eleanor Joan (Cox) Larson.

After graduating Rockville High School in 1974, Mark enlisted with the U.S. Air Force which further fueled his interest in aviation hailing from a family line of aviators. Coming back to Indiana, he started working for Addressing Machines and Supply Co. for four decades. During that time, Mark also worked for the Whiteland, IN Police Department as a Reserve Officer. While his professional career took him driving all across the midwest, he was always looking forward to clear-sky days so he could go flying, either by himself or sharing his passion with family, friends, and neighbors. If not at the controls of an aircraft, he took meticulous care of them which finally led him to become an FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant mechanic.

He is survived by his mother Joan, his children Melissa (Nick), Meredith (Shon), Megan (Marcel), Michelle (Tracy), Brianna, and Wesley. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sisters Eleanor, Karen, Kelly, and his 13 grandchildren.

In memory of Mark a visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 2198 K-Ville Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, FL 33513.
