Mark Burgess Obituary
Mark Shannon Burgess, 58, passed away on December 19, 2021, in Lakeland, FL. Mark was born December 27, 1962, in Perry, Florida to C.T. Burgess and Helen Dodson Burgess.
Mark was of the Baptist faith. He worked in construction and sales for over 30 years. Mark loved music and being a D.J. but most of all he loved his family.
Mark was preceded in death by his father C.T. Burgess,
Mark is survived by; his Mother Helen Burgess, 4 brothers, Terry Burgess, Chris and his wife Debbie Burgess, Kim Burgess, and Val and his wife Cindy Burgess, 2 sisters, Teresa and her husband Andy Jackson, and Jan and her husband Johnny Sheets, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Private ' Family Only' Service will be held on, Tuesday December 21,2021, at 10:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Steven Ruff officiating. PLEASE HONOR THE FAMILYS WISHES. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Mark. He was one of my brother’s best friends growing up in Perry and was like a big brother to me as well. Michael, my brother, and Mark were roommates in Tallahassee in their early 20’s before Mark moved away, It has been many years since I last saw Mark. I have very fond memories of him, always smiling and with an uplifting spirit. I’ve thought about him so many times over the years and across the miles. I am so sad to hear of Mark’s passing. I can’t remember a time when I didn’t know Mark. We grew up together. Our sisters were friends. Mark and I would tag along with our big sisters. Mark always had the biggest smile. That’s how I will remember him. Mark will be missed.
