Mark Gosciminski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 6, 2023.
Mark J. Gosciminski, age 72, of Easton, MA and Islamorada, FL passed away in Florida on April 19, 2023. He was the loving husband of Lee (Brimblecom) Gosciminski.

Mark was born in Fall River, MA and raised in Swansea. He was the son of the late Marcel and Helen (Twarog) Gosciminski.

Mark attended Boston University School of Fine Arts and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music.

He taught music in the Duxbury school system before a lengthy career in advertising sales for cable TV at both Colony and Cox Communications in Rhode Island.

Mark retired from Cox Cable in 2016 and spent every minute enjoying his many hobbies. Mark was an avid boater and an enthusiastic fisherman but he could also be found on the golf course, in the yard or by the pool. What was most unique about being around Mark was hearing the constant sounds of music fill the house. He played saxophone, guitar, flute, piano (and more) and anyone nearby would get to enjoy free live music booming from his home. Neighbors and passersby would stop on the street just to listen to what melodies Mark was playing. He was a part of many bands through his life but recently found the most joy jamming nearly every day, with his son-in-law, Jim and grandson, Cole.

With a zest for life and a true soft spot for animals, friends and family Mark's love and generosity were contagious and made a huge impact on all who knew him.

Besides his wife Lee, he is survived by, his loving daughter Stephanie (Ensley) Blanchard and her husband James of Freetown and his beloved grandson, Cole Marcel Blanchard. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Amy Smith and her daughters Cameron and Fiona, a brother-in-law, Scott Brimblecom and his wife Liz Foley as well as many cousins.

A memorial service for Mark will be held at the Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte 138) Easton on Sunday, June 11th at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
