Mark Ivey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 2, 2024.
Indio - Mark was born in Palm Springs on June 29, 1967 to his parents John B. Ivey and Phyllis Ivey. He lived in the valley all his life until his passing on July 18, 2024. He was predeceased by his father John. He is survived by his mother, Phyllis, his brother, John Ivey III, his girlfriend, Charity Twiford, and many more family and friends.

Mark's grandparents moved to the Coachella Valley in the fifties and established the Ivey Ranch, a feed yard for cattle and raised and raced quarter horses. In 1979 the property was sold and became the Ivey Ranch Country Club.

Mark grew up riding and working in the family business, the Ivey Ranch Equestrian Center. He led trail rides, hay rides, barbecues, gymkhanas, and many more activities. He was a laid-back caring, kind, and generous person.

Following a funeral service at 10am on August 9, 2024 at the Coachella Valley cemetery there will be a celebration of life. Please RSVP at [email protected].

So sorry, I just saw this. I remember Mark when we were kids riding horses at the ranch. Our families go way back and have many memories as long time valley residents . Wish you all peace and love . Joni Lawrence Galvan

Growing up in the Coachella Valley and having Family who worked on the Ivey Ranch's. I found it pretty cool to know Mark in our younger years. I remember Mark from School. Remembering him as a good, spirited person.
I wish I could say this or that about Mark, but this catches me by surprise.
I am very sorry to hear of his passing. I can't imagen the family's loss.
My blessing, and prayers go out to them,
Brian Walton
