Larry and Luanne Rutt

I grew up on Sugar Island not far from the Kennedy's home and have since moved back during the summers. My husband who does small engine repairs met Mark about 5 years ago and they became good friends. Larry so enjoyed talking with Mark and of course Mark had several stories to share with him during the times that he would bring his items to the house for Larry to fix. He will be greatly missed at our place on Village Rd.

I met Mark Kennedy in 1971 when I married one of his close friends Robert Cowan. Every summer we shared many a long cocktail hours and great meal at the Cowan cabins. Mark was smart and had a sharp sense of humor. He was know to my two children as "Uncle Marker" and has maintained a relationship with both of them as adults. His father doted on the girls while he was alive and they were young toddlers. I will never forget the time when Mark stayed on the island through Halloween and we held a large costume party. He made a large cardboard freighter and he stepped in it and hung it by straps from his shoulders. He was the hit of the evening!! Thanks for all the wonderful times together. You are missed.
