Mark sold to us ( Handleman Company,) for most of the 2000's ( probably before that too.) We were good friends who continued to keep in touch. I am saddened to hear this. I did not know. We got together with Mark during our last trip to Nashville circa 2019. Mark was a great friend. Condolences and hugs to all family and friends.

Mark was one of the first people I met when moving to Nashville. We began as friends and co-writers. We eventually married , then survived our divorce and were able to remain friends and collaborators. His home-going is a loss to us all and yet heavens gain. His generosity and compassion for others is unmatched. May his body of work and music accomplishments stay forever in our memories and may we pay forward the grace and generosity he gave to all.

Thank you Mark for your love and care whilst I was in Nashville. Also was great to record one of your songs which will now be sung at every gig I do in memory of you "living proof!" Until we meet again mate! Love to your family and friends at this time. From Australia Niksta x

I first met Mark when he worked for us at MCA in the 80's. Mark was extremely talented and had a diversified and successful career in the music business. Mark was a good friend and a great human being. I will always cherish the friendship we had. I will miss him very much.

Mark was always better with words. I will miss our songwriting and the silly memes he would text right when I needed them most. We are heartbroken and will miss him profoundly. Sending love to all of his family and friends.
