Mark Panek Obituary

Mark A. Panek, 44, of Taylor, died Tuesday afternoon at home.

Born in Scranton, son of Helen Aquilina and the late Robert Panek, he graduated from Old Forge High School and worked at North American Manufacturing.

Mark lived in Old Forge but spent the last 10 years in Taylor. He was very active in Old Forge sports, football, baseball and track.

Surviving are a son, Mark Anthony Louis Panek, Scranton; two brothers, Robert Panek Jr. and wife, Diana, Taylor; and Blaine Panek, Florida; a sister, Tina Kizer, Olyphant; three nephews; and his former wife Tiffany Pfhal, Scranton.

The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by Margotta Funeral Homes, Jessup. Online condolences may be made at www.margottafu neralhomes.com.

I still can recall hanging out with Mark at the arcade/miniature golf course on Keyser Avenue - we were probably 13 or 14 years old at the time. He always made me laugh. My deepest sympathies to his son, siblings, mother and extended family. May your memories comfort you.

I am so sorry to hear about Mark. It's been alot of years since I had seen him. He was fun to be around always made me laugh with his impersonations. I remember when he was crazy over Whitney Houston, He made me a cassette of her music. Bobby, Blaine, and Mark Jr. I am very sorry for your loss, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
