For Mark...
You left us far too early.
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Such a tragic loss. Mark, we already miss seeing your smiling face on screen as you were such a large part of the All Saints cast. Your fine acting brought the show to life as you gave us your best, from the humourous to the serious side that was often required by your role. I'm sure you have done all the nurses proud as your loving and compassionate nature was a good portrayal of the tremendous job they all do looking after the sick together with their families during times of great distress.
Mark, you have touched more people than you ever realised.
May you rest in peace.

Mark, you were an inspiration to up and coming young aussie actors. Your depth of character shone thru each and every episode. To say I am gutted by your passing is a huge understatement. God bless Mark's family and may they get solace from knowing their son and brother was so loved

Sincere condolences to Mark's family and friends. Depression is a hideous and crippling disease and only people who have suffered from it themselves could truly understand how it affects you. September 7, 2008
Such a huge loss... my thoughts and prayers are with Marks family and friends/cast & crew on All Saints. It was the best episode on Tuesday night... Jolene, take care. I will miss Marks character Dan... he seemed like the kind of person who was like himself off set. Depression is such a horrible condition. When one is in the deepest hole of hopelessness, there seems no way out... there is help out there and it's the hurdle of overcoming the irrational thoughts & feelings in the worst of moments to seek it. Sometimes the hurdle is too high and so loved ones can't blame themselves. Why does it have to be the nicest people to leave this world? - Angela Young of Boronia.

I heard the news on the way home from work and was deeply moved by the news. It is such a sad tragic end to a very bright man in the prime of his life. My cousin did the same a year ago from depression and as hard as it is it was not evident that this was going on in his head that suicide was the only way out. The thing is with a depressed person that when the decision has been made to them that thats what they are going to do, no counsellor will talk them out of it. Loved all saints for many years and like many of the other readers DAN was my favourite. Will be sadly missed. My sympathies to his family, friends and cast mates of all saints. Love Karen XOXOXOX . - Karen of Melbourne.

What a very sad time for his family and friends, judging by all the posts here he was a very popular young man. What a great idea it would be if everybody sent a small donation to "Beyond Blue" in his memory, this will hopefully help to stop others from feeling so bad and that to take your own life is the only way out. May he now have peace. - Rhianna of Melbourne.
September 7, 2008
I'm in shock!!.. It's such sad news to hear that Mark has taken his own life.. September 7, 2008
Yes this is very sad news, obviously a very talented young man, who to the rest of us had the world at his feet. Maybe if he stopped and thought about what his family, friends, collegues and ex-girlfriend would be feeling right now, just maybe this may not have happened. Suicide is not a way out people. You leave behind heartaches and the question of why to those left behind who will for the rest of their days blame themselves. - SJ76 of Melbourne.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the death of Mark. He was one of my favourate Australian actors. I am so very sad to hear this news and send all condolences to family and friends of this fine actor. I have read all the messages and am struck by their sincerity and empathy but also sad to see the very thing that can make someone who is suffering from depression feel that life is no longer worth living.. In other words the last straw.. and that is unkind responses and nit picking... who cares if a word is spelled wrong when the feeling is real and genuine? so please be careful with your words and give smiles rather than frowns. You never know... a kindness could stop some other life being lost so tragically. - Julie of Tasmania.
