Mark Sisk Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 2, 2024.
With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Mark Allaire Sisk, a captivating and passionate soul who passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2024, at the age of 65 in Tift, Georgia. Mark was born on July 19, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas, to Donald John Sisk and Edythe Marie Sisk-Senick.

Mark was a creative, masterful Lighting Technician whose artistry brought brilliance to the stages of the esteemed rock band Argus. Affectionately known as "Triple-Four" in his dedicated service as taxi cab driver #444 for United Cab, he navigated the streets of Tampa, Florida with skill and care, leaving an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. As a steadfast member of the Stevens Transport long haul trucking community, Mark's commitment for his work touched many lives. His legacy of cherished memories will forever be treasured by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mark was a visionary dreamer, deeply captivated by his ancestry, and renowned for his creative ingenuity as a do-it-yourself craftsman. His sharp wit and sarcasm endeared him to those around him, while his love for hard rock and Celtic music, coupled with a penchant for stand-up comedy, brought him immense joy. His fascination with history led him to amass a collection of medieval weapons, each holding a tale of its own.

In his later years, Mark dedicated himself to achieving self-sufficiency, eagerly anticipating retirement and the prospect of establishing his homestead on his own land, where he envisioned spending his remaining years in tranquility surrounded by his beloved animals. Among his cherished companions over the years were an array of pets, including African grey parrots, Maine Coon kittens, snakes, ferrets, and noble German Shepherds. He leaves behind his beloved pets Lioth, Zair, and Kimi.

Mark is survived by his brother, Thomas David Sisk; nephew, Christopher Thomas Sisk; niece, Susannah Marie Sisk; son, Ian Allaire Sisk; grandson, Oliver Allaire Sisk; granddaughter, Poppy Elliott Sisk.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald John Sisk; mother, Edythe Marie Sisk-Senick; sister, Sandra Kathleen Sisk-Fenters.

In honoring Mark's memory, a distinctive celebration will be held by his closest friends and family, paying homage to his spirit with the words, "Saying goodbye in their own way. Playing outlaws tunes on outlawed pipes."

Mark's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed, leaving a profound void in the hearts of many.

I met Mark at Nicole“s spring workshop last year. He brought the kittens with him and enjoyed showing them off. We all enjoyed his stories.

Mark had so many ideas for the home he was looking to build in TN and would have been near enough down the road to almost call a neighbor Will always remember him for the love he had for his animals.
