Mark Waltrip Obituary

Mark Lee Waltrip, 60, of Sarasota, Fla., and a native of White Hall, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 24, 1951, in Jacksonville, the son of Lewis A. and Ruth M. Wilkes Waltrip. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Andrew L. Waltrip of Sarasota, Fla.; and his sister, Christine Waltrip (husband, John Kelly) of White Hall.
Mark graduated from North Greene High School and Robert Morris Junior College and attended SIU in Carbondale. He owned and operated Independent Communications in Sarasota. He loved hunting and shooting, playing golf with his son and playing with his German shepherd, Duke. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Sarasota, and attended White Hall Presbyterian Church when he lived in Illinois.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall where family will meet friends one hour prior to services. Burial will be at White Hall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to White Hall Masonic Lodge 80 or the White Hall VFW Tree of Joy. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.

Chris ,so sorry for your loss. Mark was a great friend and loved having him around. One of the "Never a dull moment" kind of guys . My prayers are with the family.
