Mark Watson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 26, 2025.
Mark Alan Watson, 65, passed away on April 20, 2025, in Santo, Texas.

Mark was born on October 29, 1959 in Mansfield, Texas. He graduated from Mansfield High School and received his Bachelor's degree from Tarleton State University. Throughout his life, Mark dedicated himself to working the land- cutting and baling hay, raising cattle, and selling puppies.

Mark found great joy in spending time outdoors. He loved deer hunting, taking fishing trips, golfing, and camping in the mountains. A lifelong student, he was an avid reader and never missed an opportunity to share an interesting thought or idea. Mark made friends everywhere he went, and his sense of humor will be greatly missed. More than anything, he loved time spent with his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity.

He is survived by his daughter Taylor Addison and her husband Ross of Lipan; grandchildren Lyla, Asa, River, and Avery Addison. Son Clayton Watson of Bryan. Stepdaughter Ashley Fox of Granbury. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Bethany Watson.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Mansfield Cemetery.

I just heard of Mark´s passing. I barely knew him in high school, but six years afterwards he showed me, like so many others he helped, a kindness that I so needed at that time in my life. He gave me a break that helped shape the course of my life. Fortunately I saw him many years later and was able to thank him. Once again he was kind and thanked me back. I´m sad today.
