Marlene Fritch Ferdinando, 72, of Monongahela, died Sunday, June 17, 2007, in Havencrest Nursing Center, Carroll Township. Born Aug. 3, 1934, in Monongahela, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Lenzi Fritch. For many years she worked as a waitress at Lenzi's Restaurant in Monongahela. In 1971, along with her husband, they opened Monongahela Radiators, where she was still currently working with her son. After graduating in 1952 from Monongahela High School, Mrs. Ferdinando attended Grace Martin School in Pittsburgh to become a key punch operator. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Monongahela. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Jamey M. Ferdinando, of Monongahela; a brother, Gary (Joett) Fritch, of Charleroi; her sister-in-law, Cathy Fritch, of Monongahela; two nieces and a nephew, Erica, Jessica and Charles Fritch; her aunt, Jean Lenzi, of Monongahela; and loving cousins. Preceding her in death were her husband, Domenick V. Ferdinando, who died June 19, 1986; and a brother, Sonny Fritch, who died July 15, 1995. Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela (724-258-6767), from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Anthony Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 20 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township.
