COLUMBUS - Eddie Will Sparks Sr., 83, Jan. 22, 2012, at DCH Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Canaan MB Church with the Rev. James Greenlaw officiating. Burial ill follow in Sandfield Cemetery. Visitation is today from 3-8 p.m. at Carter's Funeral Services of Columbus. Mr. Sparks was born Sept. 20, 1928, to the late Johnson Sparks and Liza Blunt Sparks. He retired from Columbus Marble Works after 50 years. He was a member of Prairie Chapel MB Church and the Armistad Riders Motorcycle Club. He was employed as a barber for 60 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Sparks; and three siblings. Survivors include his children; Eddie Sparks Jr., Sharon Sparks, Russell Sparks and Charlotte Leech, all of Columbus, Frederick Sparks of Millport, Ala., Pamela Oates of Racine, Wis., Bobbie Calhoun of Mobile, Ala., Louis Harris of St. Louis, Voncille Sparks of Chicago, Elaine Moss of Wisconsin and Willie James Moore of Jackson; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
