Mars will be missed by so many. He was a huge part of one of my favorite bands, The Psychedelic Furs. His contributions to the music industry were amazing. It won't be the same seeing the Furs without Mars. Thanks for the music Mars. My deepest sympathy to all who loved you.

Oh so sad! I am a big fan of the Psychedelic Furs. The band was so fun to see in concert! All the members seemed to enjoy the fans when I went .
Lots of talent there. Mars you will be missed but you will live on with the music!

Mars played the sax on one of my songs several years ago. Mars let me and young son Pj McManus Jr produce the part with him. It was so fun! The very sound of the late 70s- early 80s, Sax Man Mars helped define the classier tones of the New Wave genre. Williams embroidered a swathe of swatches in the tapestry of the Saxophone Story. Condolences to family and fans.

Rio solo was what first drew me to Duran Duran. Next was Christmas Wrap (Mars' sax made the song). Psychedelic Furs, also better for his saxophone.
