Marsha Sue Wharton McCafferty was born February 14, 1941 to George G. Wharton and Kathleen F. Greene Wharton. She married Claude Russell McCafferty, Jr., August 28, 1958. Together they had three daughters, Kelly L. Morrison (James), Kimberly L. Schleich (Eric), Kathleen L. McCafferty May (Todd). She graduated from Circleville High School. She was a member of Tyler Church and choir, Methodist Women where she was secretary for many years. She also was treasurer of Sorors Club. She worked 10 years at V.A. golf course. Member of senior bowling league for 18 years. She also worked at Deer Creek Lodge as accounts payable. She attended and graduated Capital Beauty School. She was an EMT, member of Eastern Star and retired from Kline Vision. She is survived by a sister Judith Anne Wharton; grandchildren Kelsey (Bobby) Blackburn, Cody (Shayna) Schleich, Montana (Jacob) Wilson, Zach Patton, Amelia May; great grandchildren Lucas Blackburn, Lauryn Blackburn, Presly Faith, Brynlee Grace Schleich. She loved her family unconditionally. Her favorite pastime was working in her flower beds. A Celebration of Life will be held at 19299 Jones Road, Mount Sterling, Ohio 43143 on September 5, 2025 from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to www.Ross County Humane Society.org.
